Do. Now: Big history Project- Work on the thresholds (10 min) Learning Activity: Pirates Chart - Prepare Civilization/empire Posters for Gallery Walk Method: 1. You will be placed in groups 3-4. You will be given a large poster. Each group will be allotted one PIRATES Chart. You will complete the chart with information and visual in the form of drawing, graphic organizer etc. where possible. All parts of your chart must be filled in. Remember you are 3-4 in a group and you will pick information from each other's chart and complete all the themes. Absolutely NO GAPS in your poster. Once you complete the poster you will hang your poster. 2. Once the posters are hung on the wall, the whole class takes a gallery walk and fill in the gaps in their PIRATES charts. By the end of this activity all your PIRATES charts are filled and complete. You will be referring back to the these charts when we do a project based on chapters 4, 5, and 6. So see that you always do your work meticulously as and at anytime you should be able to refer back to the chart for any cross reference. Your PIRATES Charts are saved in your binder. Homework: 1. Review Key terms for chapters 1, 2, and 3 from your notes and quizlet flashcards you find on FOUNDATION page. 2. Read chapter 4 Greece and Persia (Iran) either from your text book or from the PDF file given below.Complete the Greece and persia Study notes. (See the calendar)
